Support Your Venues!!!

I've been told that summer is a notoriously slow time of the year for bars. This was my first summer experiencing it. I guess they were right! For the most part, we've had some really good turn-outs at Parrots. We've also had a couple of super-slow nights...but we still have fun! Here's something I think karaoke addicts need to remember...bars don't have karaoke for you to perform a one-man concert. Karaoke is not about the perfect performance. Karaoke IS about having fun with other people and enjoying some frosty cold ones. I understand that there are those who don't drink and thats cool. However, going into a bar...acting like a karaoke diva...and not buying anything...not tipping anything...will not earn you brownie points w/ the bars. Chances are, no matter how good you think you are, you will not be a very welcome guest. So get out there, sing some songs, have some crazy fun, buy some beverages and food....and support those wonderful venues that HAVE karaoke!!!!!!
